Job summary

MnDOT in St. Paul, MN, is seeking a Research Analyst Intermediate (GIS) to help develop and maintain GIS data and ensure HPMS compliance during annual audits. The role supports coordination with internal and external partners to resolve data-related needs and ensure accurate data management.

The position can be teleworked, hybrid, or in-office depending on policy and supervisor agreement. Two years of GIS experience and a relevant degree are required, with a focus on data quality and reporting

Qualifications

• Two years of professional GIS experience.
• Experience with GIS software to create, manage, and publish data.
• Experience in creating clear, accessible documents and reports for non-technical audiences.
• Experience in gathering information, defining issues, developing and implementing solutions, analyzing data, and presenting clear results.
• Experience editing XML, CSV, Excel, TXT or similar data file formats using Microsoft applications or other data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining a statistically valid Traffic Volume Program and related GIS data.
• Provide oversite and error checking of other’s work to ensure consistent procedures.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to clarify and resolve data-related needs.
