Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Senior Geothermal Project Developer to lead the full lifecycle of geothermal projects from resource assessment to construction oversight. This fully remote role requires strategic thinking, strong project management, and expertise in geothermal technologies.
You will identify sites, conduct feasibility studies, secure financing and permits, and oversee EPC activities while engaging diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a geoscience or engineering field.
- 7+ years in renewable energy project development, geothermal preferred.
- Strong financial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate geothermal resource sites for new projects.
- Conduct detailed feasibility studies: geological, technical, economic.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Secure permits and approvals from regulatory bodies.
- Lead land leases, PPAs, and key contracts.
- Oversee EPC phases of projects.
- Manage relationships with government, communities, investors.
- Secure project financing with financial institutions and equity partners.
- Stay current with geothermal tech advancements and best practices.
