Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager to lead and deliver geotechnical projects in the US South Region from the Phoenix office. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, mentor staff, and ensure safe, cost-effective designs for water infrastructure including dams and levees.

The role emphasizes client relationship building, proposal development, and risk-based project execution across geotechnical disciplines in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil, geotechnical, or geological engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Licensed PE with reciprocity in multiple states.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in geotechnical projects (dams, levees, water infra).

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver geotechnical projects from planning through construction.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services.
• Maintain health, safety, and quality standards in project delivery.
• Develop client relationships and pursue additional project opportunities.
• Oversee budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record on selected projects and mentor junior staff.
