Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead the Geotechnical Department at our Wall Township headquarters. You will manage complex geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design, while mentoring teams and strengthening client relationships.

This role requires a NJ PE, 8+ years in geotechnical project management, and the ability to coordinate with regulators, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. Travel to project sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New Jersey required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering with PM/leadership.
• Experience with geotechnical site investigations, foundation design, soil‑structure interaction.
• Experience managing multiple projects and interacting with clients.
• Strong software proficiency in geotechnical analysis tools and PM software.
• Willingness to travel to project sites, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception through completion.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Oversee design and analysis of geotechnical aspects including foundations and slopes.
• Mentor junior engineers, geologists, and technicians.
• Prepare and review investigation reports, feasibility studies, and specs.
• Develop project budgets, track costs, and monitor schedules.
• Identify new business opportunities and support proposals.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety/environmental standards.
