Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Municipal Services Department in Wall Township, NJ. You will lead municipal infrastructure design through planning, permitting, and construction, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license, 4–8 years of experience in municipal projects, and strong AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office skills. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Develop plans, profiles, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and other disciplines to ensure on-time delivery and within budget.
• Interface with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and utility providers to support approvals and permitting.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction.
• Provide construction support including field inquiries and site visits.
• Participate in client meetings and coordination meetings.
• Assist with cost estimates, schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with codes and agency requirements.
• Mentor junior staff and foster team collaboration.
