Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical investigations and analysis for major infrastructure projects. You will coordinate teams, oversee reports, and contribute to project delivery with technical excellence.

Ideal candidate will have a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of Bentley and GeoStudio tools. Base location may include multiple US sites, with full-time consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a geotechnical-related field.
• PE license recognized by local licensing board (PE/P.Eng).
• Experience with GIS, CADD, and MS Office applications.
• Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft slope stability, settlement, seepage, and deep foundation analyses.
• Bentley geotechnical data management tools experience.
• Knowledge of advanced numerical modeling techniques and software (Bentley, PLAXIS, Itasca FLAC).

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare geotechnical investigations or design activities impacting major programs.
• Participate in marketing efforts for internal and external clients.
• Organize, conduct, and coordinate geotechnical investigations for transportation and other projects.
• Perform geotechnical analyses, prepare reports, and coordinate with designers on recommendations.
• Serve as Technical Specialist or Project Manager on large projects when needed (not sole focus).
• Supervise professionals, technicians and design teams as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
