Job summary

American Engineering Testing Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer in Sioux Falls, SD. This role involves coordinating geotechnical engineering projects, leading a multidisciplinary project team, and delivering quality testing, analysis, and design for construction projects.

The successful candidate will independently perform assignments, provide mentorship to junior staff, and support marketing efforts to meet department goals. Travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering with 10+ years of related experience.
• Advanced degree in Civil (Geotechnical or related) Engineering with 8+ years of related experience (preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration and ability to obtain registration in other States.

Responsibilities

• Manage simple to complex projects and direct a project team with client interaction, scheduling, data interpretation, budgeting, invoicing, and quality control.
• Perform engineering observations/judgments of geostructural activities on projects with varying difficulty.
• Prepare formal geotechnical engineering reports, including recommendations.
• Coordinate and assign staff to perform field testing.
• Review, edit, and sign technical reports and correspondence from staff.
