Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) seeks a senior geotechnical engineer to coordinate project testing services and lead a multidisciplinary project team. You will train staff, prepare reports, and drive marketing efforts to meet department goals.

Ideal candidates have a civil/geotechnical background with PE registration and a strong client-facing approach. The role requires regional travel and adherence to QA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering with 10+ years of related experience.
• PE certification and ability to obtain registrations in other states.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary projects and preparing reports.
• Strong client interaction and business development capabilities.
• Willingness to travel regionally as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage simple to complex projects and direct a project team from start to finish.
• Coordinate field testing and assign staff to field activities.
• Prepare formal geotechnical engineering reports with recommendations.
• Coordinate with staff for budgeting, invoicing, and quality control.
• Develop proposals and marketing activities to meet department goals.
• Represent AET to clients, regulators, and professional audiences.
• Coach and evaluate junior staff and perform performance appraisals.
• Ensure safety and QA compliance; travel regionally as needed.
