Job summary

American Engineering Testing Inc seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Rapid City, SD. The candidate will manage projects, supervise a team, and lead geotechnical investigations from fieldwork to reporting. Expect involvement in client relations and marketing to grow the department.

Requires a Civil/Geological engineering background with extensive experience; PE registration is preferred, with potential to obtain registrations in other states. Travel to regional sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering with 10+ years of related experience, OR advanced degree with 8+ years (preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
• Ability to obtain registration in other States, as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage simple to complex projects and direct a project team.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and prepare reports including recommendations.
• Coordinate staff for field testing and QA of data.
• Lead marketing/business development to meet department goals.
• Represent AET with clients, peers, and regulators.
