Job summary

American Engineering Testing Inc in Dickinson, ND is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead project testing and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams. The candidate will independently perform assignments, develop reports, and drive marketing and client relations.

Requirements include a PE license and 10+ years in civil/geotechnical engineering; willingness to travel regionally and contribute to business development while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with 10+ years of related experience or
• Advanced degree with 8+ years of related experience (preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.

Responsibilities

• Manage simple to complex projects and direct a project team with client interaction and budgeting.
• Perform geotechnical observations and judgments on challenging activities.
• Prepare formal geotechnical engineering reports with recommendations.
• Coordinate and assign staff for field testing.
• Review and sign technical reports and correspondence.
• Prepare proposals and engage in marketing to meet department goals.
• Generate business and maintain chargeability goals.
• Represent AET to clients, regulators and in publications, and mentor junior staff.
