Job summary

American Engineering Testing Inc. is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Bismarck, ND. The candidate will lead geotechnical projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality testing, analysis and design.

A strong emphasis on client interaction and business development is noted. Base compensation ranges with ESOP benefits and extensive professional development opportunities; willingness to travel regionally is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering with 10+ years of related experience.
• Advanced degree in Civil (Geotechnical or related) Engineering with 8+ years of related experience (preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration; ability to obtain registration in other States as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage simple to complex projects and direct a project team from initiation to completion, including client interaction, scheduling, data interpretation, budgeting, invoicing and quality control.
• Perform geotechnical observations and judgments of geostructural activities, including high-difficulty jobs.
• Prepare formal geotechnical engineering reports, including recommendations.
• Coordinate and assign staff to perform field testing.
• Review, edit, and sign technical reports and correspondence.
