Job summary

AET seeks a senior geotechnical engineer to coordinate project testing and lead multidisciplinary teams. You will manage projects from start to finish, interact with clients, schedule work, and ensure quality and budget adherence.

The role requires a Civil or Geological Engineering background, PE licensure, and extensive experience. Significant travel and field work are expected; demarcated responsibilities include marketing and business development to grow the department and company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering with 10+ years of related experience.
• Advanced degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering with 8+ years of related experience (preferred).
• PE registration or ability to obtain registration in other states.

Responsibilities

• Manage simple to complex projects and direct a project team from authorization to completion, including client interaction and budgeting.
• Perform geotechnical observations and judgments on complex projects.
• Prepare formal geotechnical reports with recommendations.
• Coordinate field testing and staff assignment.
• Review and sign technical reports and correspondence.
