Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a senior geotechnical engineer to lead design and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, including dams, reservoirs, levees, deep foundations, excavation and dewatering. You will move designs from investigation to final delivery, collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Based in Kansas City, Chicago, or Dallas, you will contribute to technical publications, develop proposals, and support business development while ensuring

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Mining or Geologic Engineering or related discipline.
PE license required; travel may be required depending on duties.
7 years of related experience; domestic/international travel可能.
Ability to review designs for regulatory compliance and sign off.

Responsibilities

Create excavation, dewatering, foundations and geo-environmental designs with general direction.
Develop basic to high-complexity designs to meet client project requirements.
Review drafts for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Ensure adherence to firm policies on all designs and updates as needed.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
