CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead complex infrastructure projects such as dams, reservoirs, and deep foundations. You will mentor junior engineers, develop technical designs, and contribute to technical publications while coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Based in the US with preferred bases in Kansas City, Chicago, or Dallas, you will travel as needed and help grow the firm's geotechnical capabilities through collaboration with sales and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Mining or Geologic Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsabilités

• In excavation, dewatering, foundations, dams, reservoirs, levees, and geo-environmental projects, follow general direction.
• Develop engineering designs from basic to high complexity to meet client needs.
• Review designs for compliance with regulations and sign off on completed work.
• Ensure adherence to firm policies on all designs.
• Perform site reviews to align designs with location specs.
• Update design requirements as necessary.
• Conduct soil sampling analyses and modeling.
