Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. in New Jersey seeks a senior geotechnical engineer with 12+ years of progressive experience to join our geotechnical team.

You will prepare geotechnical reports and calculations, support field staff, review daily construction inspection reports, and conduct occasional site visits. Local NJ applicants or relocation candidates preferred; NJ P.E. license or reciprocity within 3 months required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Civil or Geological Engineering, ABET accredited.
• 12+ years of progressive geotechnical consulting experience.
• New Jersey PE license or reciprocity within 3 months of hire.
• Local to Northern New Jersey or willing to relocate.
• Willingness to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare geotechnical reports and calculations.
• Provide technical support to field staff.
• Review daily construction inspection reports.
• Occasional project site field visits.
• Potentially progress to Managing Principal depending on qualifications.
