Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates seeks a mid to senior Geotechnical engineer to join our State College, PA team. Projects are primarily located in Pennsylvania and you will collaborate with colleagues at other HCEA offices.

You will manage geotechnical reports, prepare proposals and cost estimates, and provide technical support to project managers across the region, while maintaining safety standards and client relations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in preparation of Geotechnical reports.
• B.S. Civil Engineering; M.S. preferred.
• EIT or PE required.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Willing to travel and work out of town for short periods.

Responsibilities

• Manage Geotechnical Engineering projects from start to finish including preparing technical geotechnical reports.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, plans, technical specifications, and reports, including day to day correspondence with clients.
• Provide geotechnical/technical support to other project managers/Engineers of the region.
• Support the office's other departments (CMT/Lab) as required.
• Enhance client satisfaction by providing thorough, professional service and maintaining communications.
• Oversee the technical excellence of branch service providers and ensure highest levels of quality and integrity.
• Follow company safety and site safety standards.
