Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support our Engineering and Project Estimating department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, family-oriented company.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Providing technical support for sales, estimating, and project management teams.
2. Evaluating existing conditions, structures, and geotechnical site conditions to determine the best design approach.
3. Preparing and overseeing design submittals for foundation and ground improvement systems.
4. Troubleshooting field condition changes during construction.
5. Overseeing closeout document preparation.
6. Maintaining positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues.
7. Tracking deadlines and managing project timelines.
8. Performing other duties as assigned.

Core Competencies

1. Organization: Capable of managing multiple projects and estimates simultaneously, paying attention to all details.
2. Communication: Strong written and oral skills; comfortable making phone calls.
3. Problem Solving: Working with field personnel and management to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering.
2. 5-10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, with a preference for closer to 10 years.
3. PE license is required.
4. Experience with ground improvement and development reports is a plus but not mandatory.
5. Availability to work in the office 5 days a week.
