Geotechnical Senior Engineer, Alternate Delivery

This position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US, supporting large transportation projects across the country.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and consulting services for transportation projects, including field investigations, analysis, design, and report writing.
• Review drawings and construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and track project progress, budgets, and changes.
• Research and resolve design and construction issues.
• Manage laboratory and field data, and communicate complex engineering concepts to clients and teams.
• Lead and manage all aspects of large-scale transportation geotechnical projects, including team management and project delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Examples of Work

• Develop site characterization reports detailing geotechnical conditions and risks.
• Provide geotechnical design recommendations for earthwork, foundations, and retaining structures.
• Perform stability, settlement, and risk analyses according to code standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead safety efforts and promote quality monitoring.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering work, providing technical direction.
• Manage project teams and resources, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
• Review complex reports and supervise technical investigations.
• Mentor team members and lead technical training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 8-11 years of relevant experience.
• PE registration required.

This is a remote position with a salary range of $101,200-$156,900, adjustable based on location and experience.
