Geotechnical Engineer – Remote (Transportation Focus)

Location: Fully Remote (U.S. based)

A growing Alternate Delivery team is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to support large-scale transportation projects nationwide. This is a remote-only role with opportunities to lead impactful work across various U.S. DOT clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead geotechnical engineering tasks including site investigations, analysis, and design recommendations (earthwork, bridges, walls, etc.).
• Produce technical reports, review drawings, and ensure compliance with specifications and code.
• Identify geotechnical risks impacting project cost/schedule.
• Perform required analyses: settlement, stability, bearing resistance, sliding, overturning, and more.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and manage budgets/timelines.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to project teams.
• Oversee safety and quality assurance practices.

Preferred Experience:

• Project management or technical leadership on major transportation projects.
• Geotechnical reporting for site characterization and foundation design.
• Experience working with DOT clients and transportation infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• PE license required
• 8–11+ years of geotechnical/transportation experience
• Valid driver’s license and clean record
