Job summary

Terracon in the United States seeks a Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist to evaluate subsurface field and sampling data, interpret soil, bedrock and groundwater conditions, and generate maps and cross-sections for project decisions. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology/Hydrogeology or related field and a minimum of 9 years’ related experience.
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Certification in field of expertise
• Professional Geologist (PG) designation
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status required.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding and awareness of project-related risk and how to protect the Company.
• Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure adherence to safety rules and guidelines.
• Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
• Provide senior-level leadership for complex investigations.
• Supervise analysis and formation of written recommendations.
• Assist in updating policies and procedures for technical projects in field of expertise.
• Provide technical direction and training to staff.
• Participate in development of marketing strategies and client presentations.
• Serve as an Authorized Project Reviewer.
