Job summary

Terracon in Colton, CA is seeking a Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist to lead subsurface investigations, interpret soil, bedrock and groundwater data, and prepare reports for remediation and site assessment projects.

The role requires a BS in Geology or related field with 9+ years of experience; a MS/PhD is preferred. A PG designation and Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status are required, with a valid driver’s license expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field with minimum 9 years related experience.
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of project-related risk and protect the Company.
• Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure compliance with safety rules.
• Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
• Lead complex projects requiring innovative investigation techniques.
• Supervise analysis and form recommendations in written reports.
• Establish and update policies/procedures for technical projects in field of expertise.
• Provide technical direction and training to less experienced staff.
• Participate in development of marketing strategies and client presentations.
• Serve as an Authorized Project Reviewer.
