Job summary

Terracon seeks a Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist in Midland, TX to evaluate subsurface field data and interpret soil, bedrock, and groundwater information. You will develop site conclusions, maps, and cross-sections while collaborating with engineering and environmental staff on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field; 9+ years of related experience.
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and interpret subsurface field and sampling data to develop conclusions on site conditions.
• Generate subsurface maps and cross-sections and collaborate with staff on projects.
• Oversee field monitoring and testing of soils including boring investigations and soil type classification.
• Prepare written plans and reports for site investigations, assessments and remediation activities.
• Lead safety efforts for the team and promote a safe work environment.
• Provide technical direction and training to less experienced staff.
• Participate in the development of marketing strategies and client presentations.
• Act as an Authorized Project Reviewer.
