Job summary

Terracon seeks a Senior Geophysicist to lead and grow a team performing near-surface geophysical surveys in support of geologic, environmental, and engineering investigations.

You will design survey approaches, analyze data, and prepare written interpretations and reports, while mentoring staff and coordinating with management. Travel is required for project coverage and client-facing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology/geophysics or related field required.
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in geophysics or related field.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a geophysics team across projects.
• Plan and conduct near-surface geophysical surveys.
• Apply methods: GPR, magnetometry, resistivity, MASW, and more.
• Analyze data and prepare written interpretations and reports.
• Develop client proposals and ensure quality control.
