You will also ensure contract compliance, drive change management, and manage engineering budgets. Travel about 10% is expected, with a focus on wiring diagrams and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent with extensive project/field engineering experience.
• 8+ years in Project/Design/Field Engineering for Gas Turbine projects.
• Willingness to travel ~10% as needed.
• Customer-facing experience is essential.
• Experience with GTCC PLM software is preferred.
• Knowledge of plant system design, manufacturing, installation, and testing.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical project engineering and direction for Generator projects.
• Coordinate engineering activities and resolve critical OTR issues.
• Act as technical liaison between customers, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
• Ensure design documentation and equipment comply with contract requirements.
• Serve as single point of contact for customer inquiries, change requests, and generator/auxiliary communications.
• Drive lessons learned into design engineering organizations.
• Provide technical guidance to Project Management and Applications/Regional Customer Applications Engineering.
• Conduct Customer Kick-Off Meetings and Design Liaison Meetings.
• Review contract documentation and communicate project requirements to design functions.
• Evaluate financial and schedule impacts of scope changes through Cost & Cycle Estimates.
• Implement approved changes through Change Management Process.
• Support resolution of cross-functional design complexities and technical issues.
• Mitigate engineering schedule issues and prevent delivery delays.
• Manage the Engineering Budget and provide quarterly Estimates at Completion to Finance.
• Provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation personnel.
• Present project issue resolutions to upper management and outline remedial actions.
• Focus on Interconnect Wiring Diagrams and coordinate inputs to customers.
