Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Morristown, NJ is seeking a General Liability Claims professional to investigate, evaluate and resolve complex Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. You will manage the full claim life cycle, from initial contact through negotiation and settlement.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of bodily injury liability claim handling or related litigation experience, with strong negotiation and analytical skills and the ability to

Qualifications

• Two years bodily injury liability claim handling experience or comparable litigation claim experience.
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills. - Intermediate.
• Ability to interpret policy language and conduct litigation management.

Responsibilities

• Directly handles assigned severe claims.
• Provides quality customer service and ensures file quality and timely coverage analysis.
• Consults with Manager on use of Claim Coverage Counsel as needed.
• Directly investigate each claim through prompt contact with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and experts to determine liability and damages.
• Recommends appropriate cases for discussion at roundtable.
• Attends depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings as needed.
