Travelers is seeking an experienced claims professional to investigate, evaluate, and resolve General Liability Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. The role emphasizes thorough coverage analysis, strategic investigations, and collaboration with internal teams to improve outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of bodily injury experience, strong litigation knowledge, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 4 years bodily injury litigation claim handling experience.
• Advanced knowledge in coverage, liability and damages analysis and litigation management skills.
• Extensive claim and/or legal experience to evaluate complex claims.
• Independent decision-making on most cases without supervisor.
• Understanding of policy language, ISO forms, and claim handling practices.
• Willingness to solicit input and share ideas.
• Strong customer service skills (intermediate).
• Coaching, influence and persuasion skills (intermediate).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex data clearly.
• Strong technology aptitude for business tools; research, tracking and communication.
• Attention to detail ensuring accuracy (intermediate).

Responsibilities

• Directly handles assigned severity claims.
• Performs timely coverage analysis and communicates with insureds.
• Investigates claims with policyholders, claimants, and witnesses; obtains statements.
• Engages internal/external resources for evaluation and resolution.
• Develops litigation plans with counsel and manages expenses.
• Applies quality standards and best practices to claims.
