Job summary

Ernst & Young LLP seeks a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day-to-day GL, AP and expense activities across US government engagements. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with period-end closes while ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS and EY policies.

Strong collaboration across finance teams and awareness of regulatory requirements are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience; government contracting preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint experience required.
• Experience with government contracting, GL, AP and expenses.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas and lookups).

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and lead period-end close.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits and respond to requests.
• Process AP vouchers and expenses; ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with finance teams and contractors to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Assist with Costpoint configuration, testing and enhancements.
