Etched is seeking a General Ledger Accountant, Close, to own the month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes and support scalable close operations. You will manage day-to-day ledger activities, work cross-functionally, and help build scalable controls and workflows as the company grows.

The role emphasizes accurate financial reporting, system configuration, and collaboration with AP, AR, Inventory, and Payroll teams to ensure reliable results.

Qualifications

• Own close processes end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) at scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent required.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting concepts.

Responsabilités

• Maintain close calendar with deadlines across accounting and cross‑functional teams.
• Prepare, post and/or review journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, amortization schedules, fixed assets/depreciation, leases, and intercompany transactions.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned accounts and resolve reconciling items timely.
• Prepare flux analysis for balance sheet and P&L accounts, investigating and explaining period-over-period variances.
• Ensure subledgers (AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets) tie out to the general ledger each period.
• Review trial balance for unusual or unsupported entries prior to close finalization.
• Maintain organized close documentation (workpapers, reconciliations, journal entry support).
• Support external and internal audits with PBC items and walkthroughs.
