Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to support our Corporate Operations in Orlando, FL. You will maintain the general ledger, drive the close processes, prepare reconciliations, and ensure GAAP compliance.

The role requires 4+ years of accounting experience (project accounting preferred), strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while driving process improvements and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Four plus (4+) years' progressive accounting experience, especially with project accounting.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ability to work with spreadsheets and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience preparing account reconciliations and financial statement support schedules.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail, highly organized, and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Analyze balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Review and post journal entries and accounts payable vouchers with correct coding.
• Post daily cash receipts and ensure proper GL application.
• Monitor fixed assets and prepaid accounts for proper coding.
• Assist with month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and GAAP.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests.
• Recommend process improvements to strengthen controls and reporting.
• Prepare and file monthly GET/Excise taxes and coordinate with state agencies.
• Handle other duties and special projects as assigned.
