Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to own the general ledger, close, and accounting controls as the company scales. This hands-on role focuses on tightening close procedures, strengthening controls, and building reporting rigor with FP&A, Data, and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in corporate accounting.
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP across core corporate accounting areas.
• Hands-on experience owning account reconciliations and preparing monthly financial statements.
• Experience owning the close calendar directly.
• Public company or audit-ready private company experience with audit exposure.
• Experience with NetSuite (or comparable ERP) and a modern spend management platform.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close, setting the calendar and coordinating with FP&A and cross-functional partners.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and flux analysis for leadership.
• Identify and automate manual, error-prone steps that slow the close.
• Partner with external auditors to maintain tight internal controls.
