Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a General Counsel for Government Contracts to lead the enterprise legal strategy on government contracts and related regulatory compliance across the organization. The role advises on FAR/DFARS/DPAS compliance and assists with contract negotiations and risk management.

The position reports to the VP & GC and Head of Legal Transformation and can be based in Washington, DC or Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule, influencing legal strategy across multiple functions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant legal experience, including significant experience advising on government contracts.
• J.D. or equivalent and admitted to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Expertise in FAR, DFARS, DPAS, domestic preference requirements, representations and certifications.
• Strong contracting and drafting capability across prime contracts, subcontracts, and flow-down clauses.
• Ability to synthesize complex issues for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Advise on U.S. government contract compliance and related obligations.
• Develop and enhance government contract compliance policies and guidance.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support investigations, audits, and risk assessments.
• Drive enterprise governance, KPI/KRI reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
