Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to lead the next generation of AI assistants powered by LLMs.

You will shape technical strategy, mentor researchers, and collaborate with product managers to drive innovation and scalable AI solutions in cybersecurity. You will work with engineers and data scientists to deliver AI capabilities, publish findings, and influence leadership with strategic insights.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of applied machine learning / research experience with leadership in production-grade models.
• Deep expertise in LLM training / deployment at scale.
• Strong technical leadership experience including mentoring teams and driving technical strategy.
• Advanced knowledge of Python, Deep Learning frameworks, and cloud technologies.
• Expert-level understanding of GPU technologies and optimization techniques.
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Track record of solving complex technical challenges at scale.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making and drive business outcomes.
• Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in Computer Science or Data Science.
• Patents or significant IP contributions in AI.
• Strong research portfolio with publications in AI journals and conferences.
• Experience with cybersecurity applications of machine learning.
• Track record of research-to-production implementations at scale.
• Contributions to open-source ML projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and architect research for new GenAI agents/LLMs and set technical direction for the team.
• Drive innovation in LLM applications, including novel reasoning and interactivity approaches.
• Make strategic decisions about GenAI model architectures, training, and deployment.
• Mentor Data Scientists and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives aligning technical strategy with business goals.
• Represent CrowdStrike's technical excellence through publications and talks.
• Establish best practices, technical standards, and evaluation frameworks for the team.
