Job summary

CrowdStrike is hiring a Data Scientist to advance AI/ML technologies for cybersecurity. You will work with scientists, engineers, and product managers to lead technical directions and hands-on innovation in AI capabilities.

You will shape the technical vision, collaborate broadly, and drive LLM-driven applications, including AI safety and red-teaming initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on cutting-edge live cyber-relevant problem sets.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of applied machine learning / research experience with production-grade models.
• Deep expertise in LLM training or post-training / deployment at scale.
• Strong technical leadership experience including mentoring teams and driving strategy.
• Proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks, and cloud technologies.
• Expert-level understanding of GPU technologies and optimization techniques.
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Track record of solving complex technical challenges at scale.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside teammates to develop innovative AI safety and cyber detection solutions.
• Co-develop end-to-end research pipelines: data sourcing, labeling, modeling, evaluation, and engineering collaboration.
• Interoperate with product and engineering teams to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Drive innovation in LLM research and applications in collaboration with security experts.
• Balance accuracy, efficiency, and cost in deployed AI/ML models.
• Make strategic decisions on GenAI architectures and deployment strategies.
• Lead the research strategy for new GenAI agents and LLMs.
• Mentor Data Scientists and foster engineering excellence.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives aligning technical strategy with business goals.
• Represent CrowdStrike's excellence through publications and thought leadership.
