Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Data Scientist to build the next generation of AI/ML technologies, leading and collaborating with scientists, engineers, and product managers to push the boundaries of AI safety and deployment at scale.

You will shape technical vision, drive hands-on innovation, and develop impactful GenAI agents for security applications while mentoring a growing team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of applied ML/research experience, with production-grade models.
• Deep expertise in LLM training or post-training/deployment at scale.
• Strong technical leadership including mentoring teams and driving strategy.
• Advanced knowledge of Python, Deep Learning frameworks, and cloud technologies.
• Expert-level understanding of GPU technologies and optimisation techniques.
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop clever, innovative solutions to AI safety and cyber detection problems.
• Co-develop end-to-end R&D: data sourcing, labeling, modeling, evaluation, and engineering collaboration.
• Interoperate with product/engineering to deliver fit-for-purpose, efficient solutions.
• Drive innovation in LLM research and deployment with security experts.
• Balance accuracy, efficiency, and costs of deployed AI/ML models.
• Decide on GenAI model architectures and training/deployment approaches.
• Lead research strategy for GenAI agents/LLMs and set technical direction.
• Guide LLM applications with novel reasoning, summarisation, and interactivity.
• Mentor Data Scientists and promote engineering excellence.
