Job summary

Provectus is at the forefront of applied AI, embedding engineers inside client operations as Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) and delivering production GenAI systems on AWS. You will learn the client domain by doing the work first, then redesign processes with Executives to achieve measurable outcomes.

We seek engineers who can own the method, ship code, and drive value in financial services, insurance, healthcare, and related industries.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building software with hands-on production code.
• Willing to spend weeks in operator's seat before coding.
• Learn domains quickly and argue with domain experts.
• Shipped GenAI/LLM systems to production.
• Built or owned an eval suite for non-deterministic systems.
• Strong fundamentals; Python and/or TypeScript.
• Cloud-native delivery on AWS; containers, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD.
• Credible with senior stakeholders.
• Solid AI/ML foundations.
• Fluent English W written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Take the operator's job for two to four weeks at the start of an engagement.
• Reach working fluency in a new domain within weeks.
• Redesign the function from first principles with operators and executives.
• Ship production GenAI systems into the customer's environment.
• Build the evaluation harness before building the feature.
• Write production code across backend, data pipelines, and the AI layer.
• Take systems to production on AWS and other required clouds.
