Job summary

Provectus seeks a senior engineer who will embed with client teams to learn the job, then rebuild the function from first principles using AI and cloud-native approaches. You will own the outcome, ship production GenAI systems, and drive measurable business impact.

You’ll start by performing the operator’s role for a few weeks, then rapidly acquire domain fluency in insurance or related spaces, collaborating with executives and engineers alike.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building software with hands-on production code accountability.
• Willing to spend weeks in operator’s seat doing a non‑coding job before writing code.
• Ability to learn domains quickly and argue with domain experts.
• Shipped GenAI/LLM systems to production, beyond demos.
• Built or owned an eval suite for non‑deterministic systems.
• Strong fundamentals; productive in unfamiliar codebases or languages.

Responsibilities

• Do the operator’s job for two to four weeks at engagement start.
• Reach working fluency in a new domain within weeks and redefine the function.
