The Johns Hopkins University’s Whiting School of Engineering is seeking a Sr. GCA - PreAward to manage sponsored funds across pre- and post-award functions, including proposal prep, budgeting, invoicing, reporting and closeout.

This role handles complex grants and contracts, ensuring timely, compliant management and collaboration with faculty, ORA, and sponsors; location is Hybrid/Homewood Campus with a starting salary range noted in the posting.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required; four years of related sponsorship/financial experience or equivalent.
• Completion of the Research Administration Training Program (13–15 months) may substitute for two years of experience per the JHU equivalency formula.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and direct complex award management activities including monitoring and auditing and reporting.
• Coordinate with faculty and ORA on application submissions to federal agencies, foundations and industry partners.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and sponsor guidelines during pre-award processes.
• Review sponsored proposals for accuracy before submission; ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Prepare timely budgets for PI review and approval.
• Serve as liaison between research units, central offices and funding agencies.
• Review budgets and justifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Support subcontract negotiations and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with grant management requirements, conflicts of interest, and protocol details.
• Maintain ongoing updates and communicate financial status and reports to PIs and leadership.
• Manage post-award duties including award setup, account verification, effort reporting, cost transfers and subcontract closeouts.
• Assist with closeouts and other duties as assigned.
