Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Sr. Grants & Contracts Analyst, Post-Award, to lead financial management for sponsored accounts across faculty portfolios. This hybrid role involves regular reporting, audits, and close collaboration with faculty and the Grants and Contracts Manager.

You will supervise post-award activities, coordinate with SPSS and ORA teams, and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and university policies. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Four years of related experience in sponsored research and/or financial positions, preferably in an academic or medical setting.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
• Successful completion of the Research Administration Trainee program (13-15 months) is equivalent to two years of relevant experience for this position.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the faculty’s primary point of contact throughout all phases of the post-award process.
• Manage the sponsored portfolios of various faculty.
• Maintain ongoing updates and communications related to current grants and contracts, including regular auditing and reporting to faculty on financial status of grants, contracts, and other relevant accounts; provide relevant updates and reports to Grants and Contracts Manager as needed.
• Meet at least quarterly with faculty to review all sponsored accounts.
• Review monthly financial reports and send to faculty.
• Serve as first level of approval for sponsored purchases, cost transfers, and other sponsored actions.
