Job summary

Guardian Access Solutions is seeking a Lead Gate Installation Technician in Nashville, TN to lead a team of technicians, install and service gate systems, and ensure safety and quality on every project.

You will troubleshoot components, supervise inspections, install equipment, and maintain detailed service records while providing clear communication to clients. Willingness to travel and work outdoors is required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
Minimum 36 months of construction experience with advanced knowledge of gate automation systems.
Low voltage experience and well versed knowledge of electrical current and relays.
Ability to perform independently as well as collaboratively within a team, and willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
Willingness to travel overnight and on weekends for projects.
Ability to use power and hand tools, read a tape measurer, and understand verbal and written instructions.
Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements for 8+ hours a day, 40+ hours a week.
As a condition of employment, employer will conduct a background check and drug screen.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Ability to understand, speak, and write English.

Responsibilities

Leads team of installation technicians in the efficient and safe installation, servicing, and maintenance of gates and automated gate systems.
Completes and leads scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on gate systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses issues with gate components, including motors, sensors, and control systems.
Implements effective solutions to diagnosed issues and escalates unresolved issues to project manager for direction.
Resolves gate system issues by conducting repairs and replacements of parts, ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of the gate systems.
Installs new equipment including cutting loops, pulling wire through conduit, pouring concrete, installing electric operators, and welding when necessary.
Ensures all equipment is working safely and correctly after installation, maintenance, or repair.
Safely and efficiently operates construction equipment to aid in digging post holes and trenches, mixing and pouring concrete, running wire, and supply transportation.
Provides excellent customer service by responding promptly to service requests, providing clear and professional communication to clients, and resolving client concerns.
Acts as primary contact to customers during site visits and completes all necessary paperwork, training, and handoffs to customer prior to completing project.
Maintains detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including time on job, inventory of parts used, and any additional follow up required in the company's ERP system.
Accurately completes all paperwork, including timesheets, in a timely manner.
Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations while productively contributing to the company's goals of maintaining a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
Regular and punctual attendance at work and provides appropriate flexibility for after-hours, overtime, and on-call scheduling.
Ability to work outdoors in various elements at company and client locations including unfinished construction worksites.
