Job summary

Stellantis Auburn Hills is seeking a Gasoline Engine Controls Development Engineer to develop new features and enhance algorithms for production engines. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams and uses vehicle, HIL, dyno, virtual environments, and rapid prototyping within the V-model software development process.

You will interface with systems and calibration teams to understand requirements, validate designs against regulatory and performance criteria, and document impacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
• 8 years of relevant experience in engine controls
• Excellent knowledge of internal combustion engines
• Knowledge of modern and classical control principles
• Experience in data acquisition and processing
• Experience with engine development, emissions development, and competitive products
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Teamwork and ability to work independently
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
