Job summary

Stellantis seeks an OBD Gasoline Engine Controls Development Engineer to develop and enhance production algorithms for gasoline engines. You will work with cross‑functional teams, calibration, and systems groups, following the V‑model to ensure quality and robustness of control software.

The role requires designing implementation strategies, validating designs in virtual and physical environments, and delivering technical guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Excellent knowledge of internal combustion engines.
• Knowledge of modern and classical control principles.
• Experience in data acquisition, including collecting and processing data.
• Working knowledge of engine development, emissions development, engine technologies, and competitive products.
• Outstanding problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and enhance existing algorithms for gasoline engine controls.
• Interface with systems, calibration, and cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and ensure compliance.
• Implement designs efficiently and validate them against requirements in virtual and physical environments throughout the production process.
• Develop plans, track progress, and present technical reports to management and project chiefs.
• Provide technical guidance and act as an expert in control strategy design.
