Astrid Entertainment is seeking a Senior Gameplay Engineer for our fully distributed team. You will design AI behaviours, refine character, camera, and control systems, and ensure the living world feels dynamic and fun.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing AI behaviours in Unreal Engine.
• Strong C++ development skills and code quality focus.
• Experience with 3Cs: Character, Controls, Camera, in third-person games.
• Familiarity with Unreal's replication for multiplayer.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI behaviours in Unreal using State Trees and Blackboards.
• Build and refine character, camera and controls systems.
• Integrate AI with other game systems to create a living world.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge within your area of expertise.
• Champion engineering quality across the codebase.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and artists to deliver player-facing features.
