Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years in public/consolidated accounting or financial reporting for a large public regulated company.
• 3 years in GAAP accounting.
• 3 years in financial reporting.
• Preferred CPA; health insurance industry experience and GAAP technical research experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review audited financial statements, including footnotes, insurance filings and board/investor reports.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to draft and implement new or revised accounting policies.
• Provide GAAP and SAP interpretation and prepare technical position papers.
• Coordinate annual external audit and liaise with auditors.
• Implement financial reporting systems and process improvements.
• Mentor and develop staff members.
