Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and 10-15 years of accounting/financial reporting experience.
• CPA certification and strong knowledge of GAAP and SAP concepts.
• Experience with external regulators and statutory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial statement close process from start to finish.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual internal/external reports.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory reporting requirements with regulators.
• Manage internal controls surrounding close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations; review for accuracy.
• Coordinate with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with rate filings and annual budget management.
• Manage a team of direct and indirect reports.
• Conduct statutory accounting research and ad-hoc financial analyses.
