Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Controller to lead the investment accounting and reporting function for a portfolio of clients. You will oversee GAAP compliance, financial statement preparation, and coordination with external auditors.

You will drive process improvements, establish internal controls, and provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership, asset managers, and clients, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of fund accounting experience.
• Supervisory experience required; experience with Yardi is preferred.
• Advanced GAAP and FASB knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve financial statements, NAVs, and supporting docs.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and consistent policy application.
• Oversee full financial reporting lifecycle for investment entities.
• Lead complex financial reviews including asset-level reconciliations.
• Provide strategic financial insights to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate external audits and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Enhance internal controls and governance to mitigate risk.
• Assist with onboarding new clients and new scopes of work.
