Job summary

Syms Strategic Group is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to drive requirements for federal-grade software products. This remote role emphasizes agile collaboration with VA stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership to elicit, document, and validate functional and technical needs.

You will leverage SAFe and JIRA to manage epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, while coordinating with engineers to ensure feasible, testable solutions and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies and software development.
• Ability to elicit and document requirements for software products.
• Strong communication with customers, management and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
• Document requirements in an ALM tool and manage them across sprints.
• Perform Agile requirement management and write acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with Systems Engineers to assess impact on solutions.
• Develop and maintain product/backlog items and change control.
• Mentor junior analysts and establish SME relationships.
