Job summary

Cognizant invites a seasoned Full Stack Java Developer to design, build, and deliver scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.js. You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and offshore teams to ensure high-quality outputs.

You will work in a hybrid setup with onsite and remote days, contributing to API/microservice development, performance tuning, and SDLC best practices across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in full stack application development with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and enterprise application development.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java application development using Spring Boot.
• Proven experience developing full-stack applications with React.js, Redux, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and code quality standards.
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and related technologies.
• Build, enhance, and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices that support business-critical applications.
• Perform hands-on coding, debugging, testing, code reviews, and application performance optimization.
• Provide technical guidance to offshore development teams by resolving technical challenges and supporting successful delivery.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow best practices for code quality, security, testing, and software development lifecycle processes.
• Contribute to AI chatbot and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) initiatives when applicable.
