Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to anchor our engineering team, owning architecture and critical-path development while mentoring engineers across the group.

This hands-on role focuses on designing, building, and reviewing code, partnering with product and business stakeholders to translate goals into a technical roadmap and execution plan, upholding security and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development with Java, Spring Boot, React, REST APIs, JPA and related technologies.
• 5+ years designing and developing highly scalable microservices and REST APIs.
• 5+ years of Agile development experience.
• 3+ years Python production-grade apps (FastAPI/Flask) and AI/ML integration.
• 3+ years distributed messaging systems such as Kafka or equivalents.
• 2+ years in a technical lead role.
• 2+ years event-driven architectures and asynchronous integration patterns.
• 2+ years Python-based data pipelines and AI-agent workflows.
• 2+ years cloud deployment on GCP (GKE/Cloud Run) and monitoring.
• 2+ years CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo) and source control (GitHub/GitLab).
• 2+ years Docker & Kubernetes experience.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and critical-path development as hands-on anchor.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and business stakeholders on technical roadmap and execution.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, security and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and lead complex technical initiatives.
