Affirm is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to lead the Acquisition & Onboarding team within the Consumer org. This remote-first role emphasizes technical direction, architectural decisions, and elevating full stack velocity across mobile, web, and backend systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive quality, and shape the first customer experience with Affirm. The role requires 4+ years of software engineering, expertise in React Native and web frontend, backend in Python with

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience or higher.
• Experience leading mobile initiatives and defining architecture across React Native and native platforms.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks.
• Backend experience with Python and cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Able to own technical plans, write high-quality code, and drive delivery across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, guiding engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics throughout the development lifecycle.
• Maintain operations readiness with monitoring, incident response, and on-call practices.
• Identify and lead fixes for project, process, or technical issues.
• Develop team artifacts and contribute to coaching, reviews, and tech talks.
• Help grow capability by mentoring engineers and sharing knowledge.
