Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Acquisition & Onboarding team. You will define long-term technical strategy, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions across mobile, web, and backend systems to improve conversion and growth.

The role requires 4+ years in software engineering, expertise in React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, AWS, and Kubernetes, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience leading significant mobile initiatives (React Native or native).
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and backend tech (Python, Kotlin, AWS).
• Experience shipping web apps with React or Vue.
• Ability to design scalable backend systems and write high-quality code.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own quarterly goals for your team and lead engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics to ensure thoughtful delivery.
• Ensure operating availability with monitoring, on-call readiness, and incident response.
• Identify and resolve project, process, technology, or business issues proactively.
• Develop and monitor team metrics and maintain high-quality production artifacts.
• Set and improve code review and design standards across the team.
